Digital Painting - Environment Studies

These are some environment studies I did using Procreate, Photoshop, and the HEAVYPAINT app. For a long time, I avoided environment/landscape art because I felt intimidated by it. Most of the time, I tended to want to draw a subject or character and just skip the background. In recent months, I decided to see if I could get better at landscape, environmental and plein air art. I wanted to explore and strengthen my technique and sharpen my ability to interpret complex areas into simpler shapes and depict light and shadow. It's an ongoing pursuit.
